INTO ALL THE WORLD

An Update by Scott Williams

Hello Church Family,

Matthew 28:19: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.” KJV

“Go ye!” I once heard an entire sermon preached on the first two words of Matthew 28:19 from the King James Version of the Bible. The emphasis for this southern preacher was the importance and personal nature of Christ’s call to “go.”

I had just turned 18 years old and was heading out to spend 8 weeks in the middle of the Amazon jungle serving with New Tribes Mission. That trip and that sermon crystallized for me the importance of my personal investment in the mission of bringing the gospel to all the nations.

While we may not preach from the KJV at Northpoint, we do take the challenge to “go” very seriously. Today we have three teams around the world preaching, teaching and evangelizing. We have one more trip coming up in July.

Let’s make sure we take time to pray for those at Northpoint that heeded the call to “go ye” into all the nations.

Spain: Pastor Jonathan Clubb is leading a group of 12 students and leaders to Barcelona, Spain. Their role will be to support the ministry of NP Missionary Stephen Phillips through local outreach and evangelism, primarily by staffing an English teaching camp.

Alaska: Our student ministries are currently staffing Tanalian Bible Camp in Alaska for junior high age students. For many of these kids, it is their only opportunity to hear the gospel all year. Our students serve as counselors, cooks, work crew, and various other ways to make the camp run.

India: Pastor Brent and Bible teacher Craig Hawkins are currently in Meghalaya, India training pastors and leaders. Church leaders from the surrounding areas are coming for a rare opportunity to gain instruction in leadership, the occult, the reliability of the Bible, ethics, and theology. For some, this will be the only formal training they will have ever received.

Tuba City: From July 19-25, a team of 15 adults and 7 students are going to serve and partner with the local Navajo and Hopi churches in Tuba City, Arizona. They will be joining other churches in order to lead a week long VBS and adult and youth programs.

Lifting up our brothers and sisters,

Pastor Scott
