“The spirit of Christ is the spirit of missions. The nearer we get to Him, the more intensely missionary we become.” — Henry Martyn

Missions is not about our efforts…it’s about God’s Recovery Act.  Without God, we are in a dark hole of despair dug by our desire to serve ourselves and not our Creator.  God began the story of missions when He began the restoration process detailed throughout Scripture.  We see missions in the intricate care God took to preserve His words and the people who brought them in the Old Testament preparing the way for the Redeemer and Savior.  We see missions in the New Testament, first in the work of Christ declaring the victory over sin and death brought about by His selfless sacrifice, followed by the disciples tireless actions to proclaim the Salvation of humanity while enduring severe persecution.  We see missions today as we profess the message of great rescue our Savior Christ Jesus performed on our behalf to all who will listen, both near and far.
