Small Group Activities TONIGHT!!!
Junior High Small Group Activities TONIGHT!!!
We won’t be having our regularly scheduled meeting tonight at the church, but rather will be meeting to do activities within our individual small groups.
7th Grade Ladies
6pm-8pm- an Un-Birthday Party at Katie Connette’s house (4031 Paseo La Cresta, Corona, CA 92881). Please bring a $1 gift.

7th Grade Men
Meat. We will be cooking meat at the church and doing other manly things from 6:30-8:30. Come to the youth room at the start. Bring $3 for dinner!
8th Grade Ladies
Tie-Dye Shirt making time at the Blakeys (2785 State Street, Corona, CA 92881) from 6:30-8:30. The Blakey’s live in the backhouse up the driveway to the left of the main house.
Bring a 100% cotton t-shirt. Call Cory (951.316.9205) for more details!
8th Grade Men
Music Video creation. The 8th grade men will be making a music video at the church from 6:30-8:30. If you would like to enjoy the culinary creations of the 7th grade men, bring $3 for food as well.

We hope these times will be useful in helping the students to further develop their friendships within their small groups so that small group discussion times will be even more profitable for the rest of the year.

Carranza Mission Trip
Junior High Students- Our next Carranza mission trip is November 12-14th. Signups begin on October 10th. The meeting for first timers is Oct 17th. If you are interested in going and serving, talk to your parents about it! All team members must have a US passport. Passports can be issued through the Corona Public Library at http://www.coronapubliclibrary.org/Quicklinks/Passports.aspx. This is a great opportunity to reach out to our friends at Mount Sinai Baptist Church in Mexico!
BIGGER THURSDAY TOMORROW NIGHT!!!
DON”T MISS OUT on our kickoff to Junior High Thursday Night Bible Study BACK ON CAMPUS tomorrow night! We’ll be up in the youth room from 6:30-8:30 for some fun games, worship and God’s Word! We’re so excited to worship our great God together and want you to be there!
FOR OUR THEME THIS MONTH: The theme is “Back to School.” We’re back on campus this week and so dress like you would for back to school days when you were a kid and we’ll be taking the best school pictures you’ve ever had as well!

Slowing Down.
This is an announcement: WE ARE ADJUSTING THE SOTD SCHEDULE!!!
Over the past week or so, I’ve been thinking about SOTD as I’ve been reading it and I really feel that in some ways we might be going too fast. If we are really trying to use SMAC (Say Mean Apply Change) while reading our Bibles and using our good friend the TAN man, we need to be biting off chunks of God’s Word that we can chew on throughout the day! Sometimes I feel like the way we broke it up previously, we were missing out on being able to go deep into some of the things we read because we were reading too much.
So, we’ll be passing out updated schedules soon, but for now the up to date SOTD’s will be here on the blog. We are actually going to go back and read through 1st Peter again. If you’ve already read it with us, I’d encourage you to go back and re-read it. I know that God will bless the reading of His Word as we seek to know Him and to live our lives for His glory!
Youth Room Cleanup Day TOMORROW (Thursday)
We’ll be cleaning up the youth room from 3-5 pm tomorrow at the church to get it ready for being back on campus for midweeks next week!

As we talked about last night, we want YOUR help for the idea for our next Major Minor Motion Picture for PizMoGa night next Friday.
What we need from you is a crazy situation that Mr. Bryce Phenicie might find himself in. Try to keep somewhat simple!

BIBLE BOOTCAMP
This week, from Tuesday through Thursday, we will be having our first ever Bible Bootcamp in Junior High Ministries. This will be a time of training for students to understand how to study their Bible. God loves to use His Word to work in our hearts and we want the students to be equipped to feast on God’s Word every day. We’ll be using this knowledge as we study select passages from the Book of Romans in looking at God’s plan of Salvation. We’ll also be playing fun games and memorizing Scripture together. Please have your student join us for this exciting time.
We’ll meet in the youth room from 1:00-4:30PM on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Thursday, instead of picking up your students at Northpoint, we will transport them to our Hot Summer Nights location (The Blakey’s House- 2785 State Street, Corona, CA 92881) where we will be having a BBQ and then you can pick your students up from Hot Summer Nights at 8:30 pm. The cost for Bible Bootcamp is $5 (to cover food). Please feel free to give either myself or Carolee a call for more information!
