Here are the time-sensitive things happening at Northpoint:

RELAY FOR LIFE 2012 – THIS SATURDAY & SUNDAY!
It’s here! We’re still building the Northpoint Team to participate in the American Cancer Society’s 2012 Relay for Life, a twenty-four hour event coming THIS Saturday and Sunday, May 19-20, at Santana Park in Corona.

Joining the Northpoint Team is easy to do! Here’s how: First, visit the Northpoint website at northpointcorona.org. Once there, click on Ministries, Local Outreach, and then follow the links to the Relay for Life website. When you arrive at the Relay site, please be sure to select “Northpoint” as your team. From there you can register and pay your entry fee.

PIECES OF LOVE QUILTERS’ GROUP – SATURDAY
Pieces of Love, a quilters’ group at Northpoint, will meet Saturday, May 20, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., in T101/102. For more information, please contact Lucille Sullivan at 951.549.6805, or Donna Lauffer at 951.735.1042.

CORONA-NORCO SETTLEMENT HOUSE BENEFIT CONCERT
Northpoint is hosting Alfredo Rolando Ortiz in concert to benefit the work of the Corona-Norco Settlement House. Alfredo is a world-renowned harpist. He will be performing with his signature Paraguayan harp NEXT Thursday, May 24, in the Auditorium, at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets/Donations are $10.00 for adults, and $5.00 for children 12 years and under. Tickets can be purchased in the Foyer THIS Sunday, or by contacting the Corona-Norco Settlement House at 951.737.3504.

LOST AND FOUND
Lost and Found items (including those unclaimed from the kitchen) will be out in the Heritage Courtyard THIS Sunday, May 20, 27, and June 3. Anything not claimed by June 3 will be donated to charity.

EARLY CHILDHOOD (BIRTH-K) VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
The Northpoint Early Childhood Ministry (Birth–K) needs volunteers! Interested in helping minister to our kids? If so, please contact Pastor Scott Williams at  951.281.2821.

Here’s what’s happening at Northpoint:

DISCOVERING MEMBERSHIP – DATE CHANGE!
The Discovering Membership class originally scheduled for Saturday, May 26, has been changed to Saturday, June 30. Sorry for any inconvenience!

Discovering Membership is designed to give you important information about Northpoint: who we are, what we teach, and how you can find a place to belong. In an age where people are actively avoiding commitment, we’re not afraid to challenge Christ-followers to commit to a local church. The Scriptures are clear on this: to love Jesus is to love the church.

The discussion will take place from 8:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m., here at Northpoint. Child care and a light breakfast will be provided. To register, please contact Amber McEwen, at 951.281.2830.

GRADUATION RECOGNITION
If your student is graduating from high school or college, we want to include them in a special congratulatory announcement. Please be sure to contact Carolee Jefferson at 951.281.2818.

GREETERS NEEDED
Looking for a place to serve? If so, we have an immediate need for Greeters during the 10:45 a.m. service. The commitment would be one Sunday every 4-6 weeks. If you are interested, please contact Joy Engstrom at 951.281.2812.

PROMOTION SUNDAY
Wondering when your kids move up to their new grades here at Northpoint? All of our students, from early childhood to high school, make the jump Sunday, June 10!

ALASKA MISSION TEAM WORK DAY
The Student Ministry Alaska Mission Team will offering house cleaning and yard work services on Saturday, June 2. Whatever you need done, they’ll do it! To schedule your cleaning, stop by the Student Table in the Foyer on Sunday, May 20 and 27, or contact Carolee Jefferson Carolee Jefferson at 951.281.2818.

STUDENT MINISTRY SUMMER CAMPS
Summer Camp is just around the corner for our senior and junior highers. SH is heading to the Kern River July 8-13. JH is going to Carpinteria State Beach June 29–July 3.

Registration for both camps begins in the Foyer Sunday, May 27. The cost for SH camp is $200.00 until June 17, and $225.00 after. JH camp is $175.00 until June 17, and $200.00 after. Please note those who sign up after June 17 will not be guaranteed a camp T-shirt.

NORTHPOINT V.B.S. 2012
Northpoint’s 2012 Vacation Bible School, Champion, will be July 23-27, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The cost is $5.00 per child, and no more than $20.00 per family. Registration begins in the Foyer Sunday, June 17, and in the Church Office Monday, June 18.

CHRISTMAS TEA AUDITIONS – REALLY!
Yes … it’s really that time again to start thinking about the … Christmas Tea 2012. If you would like to audition, please click here to view and download the Tea Audition Information Letter, Audition Application, and Rehearsal Schedule. Auditions are coming up very soon. If you have questions or concerns, please contact Sarah Pate. Audition applications won’t be taken after the May 31 cutoff.

WOMEN OF FAITH 2012 – CELEBRATE WHAT MATTERS
Women of Faith will again be in Anaheim this September! The theme for 2012 is Celebrate What Matters - We all experience good times and bad days, triumphs and tragedies. But no matter what life throws at you, this is what matters: God loves YOU. (Always has. Always will.)

Northpoint has 26 tickets available this event happening Friday-Saturday, September 14-15. And we have the upgraded premium seating again this year!

Special guests include: Angie Smith, Jennie Allen, Ken Davis, Shelia Walsh, Christine Caine, Pat Smith, and concerts by CeCe Winans and Selah.

CELEBRATION CHOIR CONCERT – SAVE THE DATE
Northpoint’s Celebration Choir with be offering the concert, How Can I Keep From Singing: A Celebration of Early American Music, on Sunday evening, June 3, at 6:00 p.m., in the Northpoint Auditorium. The performance will feature music from the 1750s to early 1900s that reflects the early American musical traditions that came out of the Shaker movement, the Revolutionary War, and the Civil War. You will hear the beginning sounds of bluegrass, jazz, and some favorite hymn tunes. Joining the choir will be a world-class banjo player.

Be with us for a celebration of music that captures the history of the early years of America!

If you need to connect in deeper fellowship here at Northpoint, then be sure to join a Connect Group!

Connect Groups are where individuals can find genuine community through gospel-centered relationships. Connect Groups consist of home groups, Men of the Word, and Women of the Word, that gather together for intentional face-to-face relationships. They meet for the common purpose of care giving, Bible study, encouragement, prayer, and accountability.

Ladies, the women of Northpoint are gathering in the Auditorium Family Room Wednesday at 11:30 a.m., after WOW, to pray for our church, leaders, search committees, and … No program or agenda. Come and go as you please.

There’s always room for one more! Please join us for Men of the Word on Monday nights at 7:00 p.m., or Wednesday mornings at 6:00 a.m., in Heritage Hall. This year we are studying through 1 Timothy, where teachers Woody Armstrong and Pastor Scott Williams lead us in-depth study of God’s Word.

BIBLE READING PLAN & PRAYER GUIDE
Northpoint offers a “ Read the Bible in a Year” plan, and a Prayer Guide for each month. You can pick up both this Sunday at the Information Center. While there, submit your email address to receive the monthly prayer guide via email.

NORTHPOINT SERMONS ONLINE
Do you know that you can listen to past Northpoint sermons online? Each Wednesday the sermon for the previous Sunday is posted to Sermon Cloud. You can find our archive by clicking here, or you can get there by going to Northpoint’s website and clicking on the on the Resources tab. That’s all there is to it!

Need sermon notes too? If so, you can find them on the same page as the sermons. Just below the “Comments” tab for each sermon, you’ll see a row of blue symbols: headphones, an arrow, bullet points, a sheet of paper with the corner folded over, and the symbol for Live Bookmarks. Click the sheet of paper and the sermon notes will open up.
