Laguna Art Trip
Have you ever wondered why the world we live in is beautiful? Why there are intricately crafted creatures of the deep than most human eyes will never see? Why the idea of a dwelling place is so powerful?
Join the ladies of Northpoint on our next Art Trip on Saturday, August 7th. We’ll meet in the parking lot at 9 a.m. and carpool to Laguna Beach where we’ll visit the Laguna Art Museum. In addition to their permanent collection of California Impressionist Landscapes, we’ll view their summer exhibit “Art Shack.” Get ready to think outside of the box!
The we’ll visit the Wyland Gallery where we’ll see sculptures and paintings of ocean life, and perhaps spot some real ocean life from the gallery’s beautiful patio.
We’ll have lunch at the Cottage Restaurant and a walk on the beach to discuss the art afterwards. Watch for our table in the foyer for more information.
The Laguna Art Museum entry fee is $15. The Wyland Gallery is free. Please bring $5 for our drivers and money for lunch! Hope to see you there!
Worthy is the Lamb
“And between the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders I saw a Lamb standing…”
- Revelation 5:6a
Did you notice where Jesus is? He is in the middle! If you read earlier in the passage, this image portrays a circle with layers. God is on the throne in the center. The next ring has four living creatures, and the next layer has the twenty-four elders. So how is this Lamb between the first and second layer, and between the second and third layer at the same time? Simple: the Lamb is Jesus Christ. He is in the middle, the center, in between everything on heaven… is He in the center of every layer of our life? We have work, families, friends. How can we possibly juggle all of the God-given gifts and responsibilities? By putting Jesus in the center!
