Fostering Authentic Community through Gospel Centered Relationships

What is a neighborhood Connect Group?  It is a group of six to sixteen Christ followers who:

  • Meet from 2 to 4 times per month
  • Pray for each other
  • Serve together
  • Apply the Scripture together
  • Encourage one another
  • Hold each other accountable

What is the purpose of the Connect Group ministry?  Our connect groups are structured to accomplish these four biblical principles:

  • Growth in Christ
  • Mutual care
  • Biblical fellowship
  • Multiplication

What do you study in a Neighborhood Connect Group?  Most groups base their discussion on our Sunday sermons and dig deeper into that biblical text, while others choose to go through a book on a relevant topic for the group.  A Neighborhood Connect Group will try to accomplish the following each time it gathers:

  • Fellowship time
  • Bible application/discussion
  • Prayer/accountability

Which group should I join?  There are three key questions to consider when selecting a group:

  • What night of the week best fits you and your family?  (Northpoint does provide childcare on Thursday for young families)
  • What type of group do you want to join?  (Mixed ages, young marrieds, young families, empty nesters, retired, etc.)
  • What do you want to study?  (Sermon-based or topical)

Can I join a group at any time?  There are two seasons each school year when we will birth new groups, or add to existing groups: early Fall and shortly after the new year.  For more information you can email the Adult Ministries Assistant, Amber McEwen at amcewen@northpointcorona.org.
