Awana Canned Food Drive

Dear AWANA Parents:

Just a final update and reminder about our Canned Food Drive to benefit the Settlement Home of Corona/Norco.  3-week totals are as follows:

Red Team – 85 items
Blue Team – 109 items
Green Team – 105 items
Yellow Team – 103 items
LITs Team – 61 items

As you can see, each team is in the running for the title of Grand Can Collector.  However, 463 items is roughly 700 cans off our goal set with last year’s offering with only this Wednesday left.  So, I’ve done the math.  There are approximately 175 clubbers and 70 volunteers who come to club each Wed.  If we all just bring 3 items each, we’ll make it.  Now that’s many hands doing God’s plan – loving Him by serving others.  And, as a way of seeing your hard work and selflessness in action, I’m inviting any clubbers with their parents who would like to help bring God’s bounty to the Settlement Home to meet me at Northpoint at 10am this Saturday, 11/21.  We will box up all the items and take them together.

I’m hopeful we can bring it home, so I’m gonna bring the big truck this Wednesday.

Finally, just a reminder there will be no club on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.  We’ll resume the following Wednesday, 12/2.  Enjoy your Thanksgiving with your family as you give thanks to our Lord!
