Certainly, there are those who surmise that he is behind every bush, lurking in every dark room, and the cause of all our anxieties and fears. But there are also those who never consider the devil’s existence, dismissing the notion that a pitch- fork-carrying trouble-maker could ever cause any real harm. Surely, the devil delights in both extremes.
