Independence Day Parade

Northpoint’s VBS Team will again be participating the City of Corona’s Independence Day Parade THIS Saturday, July 2, and if you can walk a mile, stand for a few hours, and hand out VBS invitations, we could use your help! Adults and kids are welcome. We’ll even provide a costume.

Here are the details:

First, we’ll be gathering at Northpoint TOMORROW night, July 1, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., to paint/decorate our costumes (cardboard boats that will hang from the shoulders by elastic straps), and to choreograph our parade walking patterns. Parents will need to stay with their kids at all times.

Then on Saturday, July 2, we’ll meet at the intersection of Main St. and Ontario Avenue at 8:00 a.m. to prep for the parade, and then start walking at 9:00 a.m. Parents will need to stay with their kids at all times for the parade.

The route ends at Corona Fundamental Intermediate School at the intersection of Main St. and Grand Ave. It’s expected that the parade will take about 3 hours to complete, so please consider whether you and your little ones are up to the task. Strollers are welcome (They can be turned into boats, too!).

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please email Colin Cordill.
