Gift Card Drive
Within a few weeks, we will have an amazing event happening within our church body that presents a benevolent opportunity. Ryan Sell, a Northpoint member, has been on the kidney transplant list for years. Last year he became so ill at one point we thought we were going to lose him. By the Grace of God, diet change, and meds he recovered, however, the kidney urgency remained. Ryan’s wife, Jennifer, reached out through Facebook for a kidney donor, seven people responded, several of those from our Northpoint body! One of the NP volunteers is Tina Willson, a long-time member of Northpoint. After completing the testing process she was found to be a tissue match for Ryan. The transplant surgery is tentatively scheduled for April 5 at Loma Linda Hospital.
We have an opportunity to bless both families by helping with meals, writing cards, and being prayer warriors. Rather than taking them meals, we felt purchasing gift cards to various food places would be best due to dietary restrictions and Covid concerns. Or, if you prefer to donate money, there will be incidental expenses outside insurance coverage or used toward meal gift cards and other needs. Following is a list of food establishments they enjoy and other suggestions. Please give your gift to Colin Cordill, Kathy Larsen, or drop it off at the Church Office by April 5. We will be at the Information Booth/Guest Desk each Sunday.
