Matthew 25:21-35

QUESTIONS FOR DISCUSSION & DISCOVERY
1. Please take some time to think about who the Lord has used in your life to encourage you, pray for you, share the Gospel with you, admonish you, live as an example before you, etc. Then pray to the Lord, thanking Him for their influence and praying for them. Maybe even write him or her a card or thank him or her in person. If the person in mind has passed, take some time to honor him or her, praising Him for allowing him or her into His joy.
2. List all the resources that the Lord has given you in all areas of your life: finances, work, home life, time, personality, preferences, gifting, etc.
3. List all the ways, and the frequency with which, you serve the church and your community: children’s ministry, bringing meals to others, praying, sharing the Gospel, planning events/times that include Gospel proclamation, writing cards of encouragement, etc.
4. Please cross-examine the two lists. Are there resources that you are not using? What are some areas where you could put to use these resources? On the other hand, what resources are being used to their max? How has God steadily provided more according to your needs?
5. When looking at the two lists, do you see areas of the Christian life that are necessary yet missing? Ex: Bible Study, prayer, community, sharing the Gospel on a personal basis, discipleship of others, receiving discipleship from others (whether peers or older or younger), etc.
6. Please take some time to pray over the two lists, asking for the Lord to continue to provide for you in all that you are doing and that He would open your eyes to other areas of growth in your life.
