Mission Week Field Trips
To help us prepare to spread the gospel in a pluralistic society, Northpoint has arranged for Mission Week field trips to a Muslim mosque in Corona on Friday, October 23, from 2:45 p.m.-5:30 p.m., or Saturday, October 24, from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m., to a Hindu temple in Chino on Saturday, October 24, from 9:30 p.m.-12:30 p.m., and to a Buddhist temple in Hacienda Heights on Saturday, October 23, from 9:30 p.m.-2:00 p.m. The purpose of these excursions, which will be led by experienced cross-cultural evangelists, is not “inter-faith dialogue,” but equipping for effective evangelism.
California has the highest Muslim, Hindu, and Buddhist populations in the US and all are growing rapidly. Unbelievers that we meet in our own neighborhood are less likely to be nominal Christians and increasingly likely to be adherents of one of these three faiths. Many Christians do not know where to begin in witness to them and are easily intimidated. Prepare yourself by making a trip with us.
Sign up or get more information in the Foyer THIS Sunday, or at the various Mission Week events.
Trip Notes:
- Women should cover shoulders for the Muslim mosque visit. Also, shoes come off while in the service.
