Your Personal Invitation – A Quote
God is eager to pour His good gifts out for us. Not only is He willing, but also He is able to bless you beyond your wildest imagination. If you find yourself still hanging back, reluctant to crash uninvited into the presence of the King of the universe, then hang back no longer! God, through Christ, has issued you a personal invitation to call on Him anytime. In fact, it is impossible to come into His presence uninvited, because His Word tells us to “pray continually” (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, Jesus’ invitation from Matthew 11:28-29 is this: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
Once you choose to follow Christ, you may pray about anything: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything,” Philippians 4:6 says, “by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God” (emphasis added). And you need not be timid in making those requests! Check out what Hebrews 4:16 has to say on the matter: “Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”
When you accept God’s invitation, my friend, miracles begin to happen. You won’t believe the changes that will occur in your life – in your marriage, your family, your career, your health, your ministry, your willingness to point people toward faith in God – once you are convinced in the core of your being that God is willing, that He is able, and that He has invited you to come before His throne and do some serious business in prayer.
