Police & Fire Gift Baskets

Dear Church Family,

I trust that you are doing well and staying healthy. I want to give you a brief update on our recent effort to reaching out and honoring our first responders and police officers in Corona.

Six weeks ago, we announced a church-wide campaign to collect letters of appreciation and encouragement, along with gift cards, to present to our firefighters and police officers in Corona.

Our goal was to collect 230 thank you cards and gift cards.

It is with a great sense of appreciation that I tell you we have delivered a total of nine baskets to Corona Police and Fire departments, which included:

  • 326 gift cards
  • 260 handwritten cards
  • A couple hundred snacks and,
  • 12 plants

Because of your generous giving, in addition to the 147 police officers, we were able to deliver gifts to 24 dispatchers, 11 in the records department, and six chief security officers in the police department.

It was a privilege for our team to deliver those gift baskets to all the first responders and police officers who work hard to save lives and make our community a safer place to live. The police and fire department officials have expressed their gratitude to the Northpoint congregation and said, “Thank you for your generosity!”

I want to extend my sincerest heartfelt thanks to you for your participation and generous giving for this local outreach effort.

Thank you for taking the time to write individual notes for each person and for dropping them by the church. I also would like to express my appreciation and thanks to all who helped with the planning process, participated in purchasing the items, and made the time to deliver the gift baskets to seven fire stations and the police department.

Thank you for the kindness and support you have shown for the Corona Police and Fire Departments. They appreciated it very much! Our effort to reaching out to them would not be effective without your prayer, participation, loving, and sacrificial giving.

May the Lord help us to continue to be a blessing in our community for His glory and His great name!

In His Service,

Tamene Menna
