Big Group Time: FEBRUARY 28 – MARCH 6
FEBRUARY 28 – MARCH 6
PAUL’S FIRST JOURNEY
There are five challenges for you to do below:
1. Let’s first review last week’s story by listening to the WARNING sound of an on-coming train .Then, we will remember how Saul was WARNED by Jesus using His voice and the brightness of the sun to help him know his sin. Then, we will sing with Mr. Tri and our hearts will be good and ready to hear from this week’s teacher, Mr. Edison, as He goes through God’s love letter with us.
2. This is where the video outline of this week’s lesson, Paul’s First Journey (16:11-34) should be, but we can’t show it here due to licensing restrictions. However, you can get the video (and all the rest of Big Group Time you see here) through a link in Northpoint’s all-church email, NP News. Click HERE to subscribe.
3. Open your Bibles with your parents and enjoy reading Acts 16:11-34, and then answer these questions:
a. Why did Paul and Barnabas go on the journey? (Acts 13:2)
b. What did Paul do in Lystra? (Acts 14:8-10)
c. Who did the people of Lystra think Paul and Barnabas were? (Acts 14:11-12)
d. How did Paul and Barnabas react when the people wanted to offer sacrifices to them? (Acts 14:14-15)
e. What did the Jews from Antioch and Iconium do? (Acts 14:19)
f. What did Paul and Barnabas tell the disciples afterward? (Acts 14:22)
In today’s story, we heard about Paul and Barnabas and how they shared the good news of Jesus with anyone who would listen. Sometimes it was really hard to do. People tried to stop Paul, but Paul did not give up.
To be Jesus’ witness means to tell others about the wonderful things Jesus has done in your life and through you! Now K!ds, pray for a moment and see whom the Holy Spirit is bringing into your mind that you could share the good news of Jesus to today. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you share Him. Remember k!ds, The Holy Spirit helps Christians follow Jesus. He is there when you call on Him and He is ready to listen to you.
