Big Group Time: JANUARY 3 – JANUARY 9

Northpoint K! DS’ “Big Group Time”

JANUARY 3 – JANUARY 9

JESUS ASCENDED to HEAVEN

There are five challenges for you to do below:

1. Hey Kids! What time is it?🕛🕰⌚🕦🕚⏳

It’s always a good time to tell others about Jesus! So, let’s start by saying good morning over our city as we think about what our great God wants us to do all the time. Then, we will be good and ready to hear this week’s truth of God’s Word from Mrs. Holt. This will pump you up to then sing in your heart or out loud the song One Thing Remains with Mr. Tri.

2. This is where the video outline of this week’s lesson, Jesus Forgives and Restores, should be, but we can’t show it here due to licensing restrictions. However, you can get the video (and all the rest of Big Group Time you see here) through a link in Northpoint’s all-church email, NP News. Click HERE to subscribe.

3. Open your Bibles with your parents and enjoy reading Acts 1:4-14 and find out the right answers to these questions below as you look for yourself what the Bible 📖 says the answers are.

1. Where did Jesus tell His disciple to wait? (Acts 1:4)

2. John baptized people with what? (Acts 1:5)

3. Jesus said the disciples would be baptized with whom? (Acts 1:5)

4. Jesus said the Holy Spirit would give the disciples what? (Acts 1:8)

5. What did Jesus say the disciples would do? (Acts 1:8)

6. What took Jesus out of the disciples’ sight? (Acts 1:9) ☁

7. How will Jesus come again? (Acts 1:11) 🌥

8. What did the disciples do back in Jerusalem? (Acts 1:12-14)  That right, they prayed and waited as Jesus told them to do.

🙏 Jesus tells you and me that He loves when we pray to Him. Can you pray right now to Him? Maybe you could start your prayer by thanking Him for something He has given you and end your prayer asking Him for help with something you need His help with. I know He would love to talk with you as it is always a good time for Jesus!!🕛

January Memory Verses are:

Phillippians 2:3  It is God who works in you, both to will and work for His good pleasure.

Proverbs 3:3  Let love and faithfulness never leave you.

For numbers 4 and 5, get your parents!

For our NP Parents:

NP K!DS’ Resources for THIS week:
4. You can read an article, Jesus Ascended to Heavenwritten just for this week, by the Gospel Project, that our teachers would have read in preparation for teaching their lessons this past Sunday. It’s insightful, helpful, and encouraging! Please read it HERE.

5. Here are a few activity pages your children can enjoy doing. They come from our teachers’ Sunday school curriculum. Download them by clicking HERE.

Have a great week K!ds spending time with Him! We hope to see you on Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. But whether or not you’re able to come, please know you are all in your Sunday school teachers’ hearts and prayers all the time. Keep loving Him fully as we look forward to the time of His coming back to earth for us.
